Clinical Esthetics Diploma

Offered in:   Calgary  & Red Deer
Next Start Date:
September 7, 2026 (Calgary) & September 8, 2026 (Red Deer)

At Delmar College, we don’t just teach esthetics — we prepare clinical professionals.

Our Clinical Esthetics Diploma is designed for students who want to build careers in medical spas, advanced skin clinics, and high-performance aesthetic environments. Through hands-on training, you’ll gain experience with medical-grade technology, perform professional treatments, and develop the confidence needed to enter today’s growing medical esthetics industry.

Because we believe confidence comes from repetition and real experience, students spend the majority of their training performing treatments — not simply observing them.

Advanced Clinical Skincare Training

Throughout the program, you’ll develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to perform corrective, results-driven treatments. Your training includes advanced skincare techniques, professional products, and industry-leading technologies.

Customized Clinical Facials

Learn how to assess individual skin concerns and create customized treatment plans using pharmaceutical-grade products from Vivier, as well as professional skincare products from Dermalogica.

Skin Care Mastery

Build a strong foundation in advanced skin treatments, including:

  • Microdermabrasion for effective skin resurfacing and exfoliation
  • Chemical Peels to address acne, pigmentation, and the appearance of fine lines
  • Dermaplaning to create smoother, brighter-looking skin
  • Microneedling for skin rejuvenation and improved skin texture

Advanced Laser & Light-Based Therapies

In addition to advanced skincare, students gain hands-on experience with a range of laser, light, radio frequency, and body-contouring technologies.

Training includes:

  • Laser Hair Removal for long-lasting hair reduction
  • Tattoo Removal using advanced laser technology
  • Fractional Skin Resurfacing for targeted skin rejuvenation and repair
  • Carbon Laser Peels to improve skin texture and tone
  • IPL Treatments for skin rejuvenation, acne, vascular concerns, and pigmentation
  • Radio Frequency Skin Tightening to help firm and tighten the skin
  • Facial & Body Contouring to enhance and sculpt the face and body

Students also receive exclusive training on InMode, Sharplight, and Duetto Technologies, providing valuable experience with equipment used in advanced aesthetic environments.

Exclusive Advanced Workshops

To further expand your skill set, the Clinical Esthetics Diploma includes specialized workshops that complement your core clinical training.

You’ll explore:

  • Gua Sha Facial Massage for lymphatic drainage and relaxation
  • High-Frequency Treatments to support acne management and skin healing
  • LED Light Therapy for skin regeneration and inflammation reduction
  • bT-Micro Treatments for deep cleansing and exfoliation
  • Advanced Exfoliation Protocols for smoother, healthier-looking skin
  • Twist/E-DermaStamp Microneedling
  • Hydrafacial
  • Observe360
  • And additional advanced treatment techniques

As a result, you’ll graduate with a broader understanding of modern clinical skincare and the technologies used within today’s professional aesthetic industry.

Business & Career Success Training

Technical skills are only part of building a successful career. That’s why the program also incorporates business, communication, and client-development training.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Attract and retain clients through effective client acquisition and retention strategies
  • Build your professional brand through strategic marketing and branding
  • Understand spa business operations and the fundamentals of managing a professional practice or clinic
  • Communicate professionally with clients while maintaining strong ethical standards
  • Develop treatment plans based on individual client needs and skin concerns

Furthermore, students learn consultation mastery, skin analysis, ingredient science, treatment planning, and client safety protocols aligned with real-world clinical standards.

Become a Product Expert

Students also have the opportunity to gain specialized product knowledge and certification training with Vivier and Dermalogica. These credentials can help strengthen your professional expertise and credibility when working with clients and recommending professional skincare products.
