Delmar College of Hair and Esthetics has a volunteer program in which current Delmar students are matched with new international students. The goal is to assist in the transition of new students to Delmar and enhance the new student experience.
Mentors are trained to respond to routine questions, e.g. housing, social events, getting around Calgary. Mentor commitment involves continued communication with the new student through email, monthly meetings, and optional social activities.
